Ranya Al Najjar
Ranya Al Najjar, Lebanese - Cypriot
Bio: Ranya is 40 years old from Lebanon, currently living in Cyprus.
Her academic formation consists of Diploma in Medical analysis, studies in history, and Master in Theology (the Middle Eastern Religious Melodies-Maronite Hymnology – in course of writing the thesis). In addition to training sessions in: Leadership and Management, Project writing and communication skills, Translation career course, Creative Thinker and Creative writing course. As well as, musical Formation at the National Higher Lebanese Conservatory including piano, oriental songs, community music, harmonization for choirs.
The work experience and commitments of which, pastoral responsibility in Lebanon, executive secretary, administrative responsibility, archive keeper, internal and external communication (toward CCEE-COMECE) and media especially at the Maronite Archeparchy of Cyprus. Lately, took in charge the external relations services at the Alexander College/Canterbery Christ Church University UK.
When in Lebanon, Director of the “Youth Choir” (Melody of the Youth) and in charge of ecclesiastical Choirs. When in Lebanon: member and assistant conductor in “Fayha Choir” (winner of several international prizes) and conductor of “Fayha Choir Junior”. Participates in many events and encounters organized by the UN.
Member of various organizations and committees of social and humanitarian affairs: KCC (Kormakiti Center for Cooperation), Cartitas Kinonia Cyprus, Justice and Peace Cyprus.
Owner of a personal company, Acro4u.Ltd for services, a business since 2022.
Founder of “Armoniya Choir” Foundation (NGO) for encounters of dialogue and peace through the coral singing.
From her hobbies, art of which music, painting, dance (Latino - oriental), sports of which running, gymnastics, swimming, roller, basketball, ping pong, reading.
Speaks the following languages: Arabic (mother tongue), French, English, Greek, Italian and has some knowledge in Syriac (Aramaic) and Turkish.
